This is a new kind of hair school, focused on developing new talent that can thrive in any salon, in any city. We have evolved past the old, archaic idea that hairdressing is hard and must be taught in the traditional way. We de-mystify it and show our students how to be successful, but more importantly how to find joy and have a great life through hairdressing.
Our Team
A hairdresser since 1993, Michael Levine is one of Canada's most celebrated hairstylists. Appearing on stages all around the world as an educator and creative, Michael is a true expert in hairdressing and success within the industry.
Liz Abreu has been a hairdresser since 1992, a salon owner since 1998, and co-founded the Vancouver Hairdressing Academy in 2012. A part of the Pulp Riot show team, Liz has travelled the world working countless shows.
Anthony has been doing hair since 2003, and joined our team in 2014. He is a very technical haircutter and takes tremendous pride in his outstanding cutting and colouring work, but it's his personality that really makes learning with Anthony something to look forward to.
Trained at the Aveda Institute and originally from Mexico, Liliana is a super-talented stylist and colourist, and an incredible educator.
Kirsty is awesome. She loves the entire rainbow of colour, but especially loves blondes, balayage, and rich brunettes. And of course she loves to cut as well. Kirsty is a diligent student of the craft and that translates into the way she views teaching.
Kiera is a wonderful young stylist and has achieved her Red Seal certification. She is both technical and creative, and is going to be a fantastic educator.
Izzy is a graduate of our academy and is a wonderful young talent. She loves the craft and is developing a deep understanding of our systems. And nobody does waves like Izzy.
